TILE MURALS AND MOSAICS, CLAY PROJECTS AND SCHOOL PROGRAMS

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Artist-in-Residence George Woideck creates tile murals, mosaics and clay projects at public, private and parochial schools with students of all ages. "I'm a ceramic artist originally trained as a painter, so I like to combine my love of clay with the enjoyment of decorating flat surfaces including tile and mosaic murals. All my school programs relate to Ohio Standards in Math, Science, English Language Arts and Social Studies. Recently, I've been invited to many school systems and arts organizations to lead hands-on professional development workshops for their Art, Math, Geometry, Science, Music and General Curriculum teachers.  A video of my workshop From Geometry to Escher: Teaching Tessellations in Art and Math can be found on youtube.com.”
